At school today, we had a Parade for ANZAC Day right away in the morning. It was so cool to be a part of. It was an all school parade so all the students grades prep (kindergarten) through 7th were piled in the hall for the ceremony. When we got in there, they told us not to clap when the people were finished speaking. ANZAC Parades are solemn occasions. It felt sort of weird not clapping when others had finished speaking or reading passages. We also had the kids line up to lay our class wreath in front of the flag. My teacher told me that this part reminds her of a funeral - Which I completely agree with.

After Parade, I taught the next lesson in the Technology Unit and one of my Guided reading lessons. Both went very well and the students loved them! The afternoon went by quickly because my teacher and I have an hour and a half of no contact time. After school, I came home and began working on planning and applying for jobs. I got 5 applications done and sent in!!
